This past weekend was a quiet one for most of our athletes. But the few that made their way to Attleboro on Saturday for the fifth annual Highland Park Invitational certainly made an impact. For this week’s HOKA Athletes of the Week, we’re recognizing Toll Gate’s Alison Pankowicz and East Greenwich’s Luke Allen. The Titans’ Pankowicz may have opened some eyes a little more among our state’s elite after her impressive victory at Highland Park. The talented senior beat a strong field to win the overall title with a time of 19 minutes, 41.8 seconds on the rolling five-kilometer course. In the boys’ race. Allen challenged with the leaders throughout the race en route to a runner-up finish and time of 16:52.2.
